Moscow Patriarchate Demands Interpellation of Lithuanian MP

Metropolitan of Vilnius and Lithuania diocese of the Moscow Patriarchate Inokenty (Vasilyev) demanded the interpellation of a member of the Lithuanian Parliament (Seimas) Andrius Navickas. The politician shared the news on his page on the social network Facebook. After an official letter from the Metropolitan, the Seimas Commission on Ethics and Procedures began an investigation to determine whether the complaint is justified.

The official reasons for the complaint, written on eight pages, are not yet known. Since the beginning of the war, the politician has often criticized Patriarch Kirill and the local bishops of the Moscow Patriarchate on his social network page because of his support for the war.
